La Xenia’s Campus

About Switzerland

La Xenia is located in Canton Obwalden, one of 26 cantons forming the Swiss Confederation.

Obwalden is located in central Switzerland and contains the geographical centre of Switzerland. The canton of Obwalden is bordered by the canton of Lucerne to the north, the canton of Nidwalden and Uri to the east and the canton of Bern to the south.

Students are able to experience both the excitement of the city and the serenity of the surrounding nature.

La Xenia Campus

La Xenia campus is comprised of a hotel & restaurant.

Classrooms

La Xenia campus has 2 main classrooms on the ground floor and multiple practice rooms including the kitchen and restaurant.

Gastronomy on Campus

The restaurant in La Xenia is divided into three sections:

  • 1st section is where the students are served their meals. 
  • 2nd section is where students can do practical training activities where they will learn about Food & Beverage (F&B), restaurant setting and much more.
  • 3rd section is for the public and will be open for external customers during selected periods mainly for teaching students how to serve and deal with real customers.

Sports and Entertainment

Students will be able to enjoy walking, hiking, jogging, Nordic walking on countless beautifully landscaped paths, along rivers, across meadows and floodplains or in the forest.

Students will also be able to enjoy Lake Sarner (a 30-minute walk from the campus) for a swim.

During the winter months students will enjoy all kinds of skiing in the immediate surrounding areas of Hasliberg, Mörlialp, Melchsee-Frutt.

The unique style and atmosphere of La Xenia campus, in the midst of awe-inspiring nature, offers the finest cuisine, combined with an exquisite cultural program.

Students have access to sporting facilities on-campus and nearby including: tennis, swimming, basketball, fitness center, skiing, snowboarding, golf, ping pong, billiards, or just enjoy the great outdoors by walking, running, biking or hiking.
