Course Structure
Your Previous Qualification Determines Your Route.
DBA candidates follow one of two structures depending on whether they already hold an MBA.
MBA Graduate Route
Candidates who already hold an MBA complete five taught research courses before progressing to the doctoral dissertation.
Build the research and analytical foundation required for doctoral study.
Undertake independent doctoral research focused on a substantial business or management issue.
Non-MBA Graduate Route
Candidates who do not hold an MBA complete a broader taught stage combining advanced management and research courses before beginning the dissertation.
Develop advanced management knowledge together with the research foundation required for the DBA.
Progress into independent doctoral research after successfully completing the taught stage.

Entry Requirements
Who Can Apply?
- A recognised Master’s degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Applicants with substantial managerial or professional experience may also be considered subject to academic review.
- English-language competence equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or other accepted evidence of proficiency at this level.
Study Online
Doctoral Study Without Relocating.
The DBA is delivered online, enabling experienced professionals to undertake advanced business research without relocating for full-time campus attendance.
